Synergea Family Health Centre is pleased to welcome Dr. Bruce Lofting, N.D. to our Family!
Dr. Lofting graduated in 1995 from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. He has been licensed in Alberta and practising in Calgary since. Dr Lofting also holds a license with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, currently non-practising.
With a keen interest in the digestive system and food allergies, Dr. Lofting’s naturopathic practice is diverse. Treatment options include lifestyle counselling, food allergy testing, dietary choices, nutritional medicine, botanicals, and homeopathy.
Additionally, Dr Lofting has two special interests, Bowen Therapy, and intravenous (IV) therapy. Bowen Therapy is highly effective for pain relief. Dr Lofting has found, as did Mr. Bowen, the Australian who developed the technique, that Bowen Therapy can be used for conditions other than pain. He has reported successful outcomes for patients with incontinence, bedwetting, inability to control the stool, asthma, and the quality of life for stroke victims. Dr Lofting has been providing Bowen Therapy for well over two decades.
Intravenous Therapy can offer nutrients in high, effective, and exact therapeutic dosages. As an example, IV therapy can resolve cases of respiratory infection that have persisted for weeks or months in just a few days.
Beyond immune support, Dr Lofting has employed IV therapy to successfully treat low energy, low mood, depression, hives, asthma, migraines, menstrual cramping, and more. Two other options that IV therapy offers are types of chelation, one for cardiovascular health, and another for toxic metals—both testing and treatment. IV therapy has been part of Dr Lofting’s practice since 2002.
Dr. Lofting lives in Calgary with his wife of 38 years, and they are fortunate to have their daughter and grandson also in Calgary, and a son in Victoria. He spends much of his spare time playing and competing in squash.
