Client Resources
An abbreviated list of the resources we currently provide to clients visiting our centre. Please talk to our centre director if there is something you think would be of value as a service to our clients!
THE POOH HOUSE - We have a larger-than-life, amazing tree house for the kids to play in! Most of them don’t want to leave (a mixed blessing for parents!). It is known affectionately as the Pooh House. Children must be supervised when playing (front desk staff can not be responsible for your child)
LENDING LIBRARY - We currently have a lending library of books that have been donated either by practitioners or clients that have found them helpful on their journey to wellness. Popular topics include vaccination (look for our vaccination information binder!), women’s health, children’s health, nutrition, pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding, etc. Books from the lending library are available to current clients with a two week borrowing period.
COURTESY PHONE - We have a client courtesy phone located in the main reception area for your convenience.
TEA - Have a nice cup of tea with us in front of the fireplace. We couldn’t have a centre like this without herbal tea!
RESOURCE ROOM RENTALS - We hold in-house classes and workshops in our resource room, located on our lower level. For a current list, click on Workshops/classes at left. We also rent our resource room for seminars and events, and have a full kitchen available right next door. Call our Centre Director for more details.
HERB GARDEN - We have a lovely little herb garden and rose garden right outside our clinic with a spot to rest and watch our beautiful waterfall. Take a few minutes to relax before your appointment! Get a healthy snack at Amaranth Whole Foods Market, located immediately next door to us on the other side of the herb garden.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - Our building is wheelchair accessible. We have automatic doors, an elevator, and most treatment areas are located on the main floor with wide doors and halls. Two parking spots for wheelchair access are available with ramps to the sidewalks.
LA LECHE LEAGUE NORTHWEST GROUP - During these discussions mothers receive accurate, up-to-date and personalized breastfeeding information and support for their role as a breastfeeding parent. In addition, mothers are able to draw on the experience of other mothers who attend. The group meets at Synergea regularly – please contact the Calgary group at 242-0277 for details and times.
