Alexandra Vartosu is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who has worked with a variety of clients from a wide range of backgrounds. She has experience working with adults as well as children, teens and young adults.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, along with a Master of Counselling degree with a specialization in Counselling Psychology, both from the University of Calgary.
Alexandra specializes in providing psychotherapy services to individuals of all ages. She believes that we all have the ability to experience transformational change; thereby, she offers a collaborative, safe and compassionate environment, where one can explore those areas of growth without fear of judgment.
Alexandra believes that each individual is the expert in their life story, and that they have within them the power to create positive change in their lives.
Alexandra is an Usui Reiki Ryoho Master offering Psychotherapeutic Soul Reiki. This is a hands-on approach focusing on the body and the body-mind process as it is occurring. As she applies Reiki, the client is invited to participate in exploring the psychological meaning(s) that relate to their imbalance(s). Reiki often brings out specific body memories, emotions and associated thoughts, which need to be uncovered and released so that the healing may take place.
“I am grateful that you have invited me to walk beside you. Being in the presence of another individual, as they journey through the labyrinth of self-discovery and healing, is rewarding in my role as the compassionate, non-judgmental and collaborative companion”.
“In my work as a psychotherapist, I adhere to a Client-Centered, Mindfulness-Based and Humanistic view of psychology with an emphasis on the proper integration of the five levels of the individual – body, feelings, intellect, transpersonal self and spirit”.
